This episode will guide you through the simple yet profound act of breathing, the restorative power of sleep, and the importance of starting each day with a heart full of gratitude and hope. It's a conversation that will encourage you to contemplate the strength drawn from our connections with others, and how trust becomes an internal affirmation of our capacity to love, give, and believe in ourselves.

Welcome to Resilient Faith, the podcast. Opportunities to find deeper resilience within ourselves can come when life seems most challenging. This podcast is to help you develop that resilience and connection with God. Being resilient and having power starts with faith.
Speaker 2:Trust. Trust that the next breath you take will bring air to your lungs and blood to your heart, will bring life to your being. Trust that the leaves and the seeds and the trees and the greens around you will withstand rain and wind, cold and heat, will shelter the smallest insects, will feed and nourish the birds and animals, will provide shade on the sunniest days and cooling relief on the warmest of afternoons, will provide sounds of comfort when blowing during summer breezes or even the bitterest of cold winds. Trust that the leaves or the greenery that depart from the trees, branches and twigs and trunks, and even the steadfast and strong roots, will fall onto and into the clay of this earth to feed and nourish and will return unnoticed to us, in what form or even when it will happen. But trust that it will. Trust that their green, their pink, their burgundy, their colorful buds will return and open to the warm sun and repeat their own life cycle in their own time and bring forth food and shade and cool and comforting sounds in the summer breezes and in bitter cold winds. Again and again and again, on the mountain sides, along cool running streams, slowly rolling rivers and deep amongst the lush valleys, trust that food will sustain us, will nourish us, will fill us. Trust that water will hydrate us, will bathe us, will cleanse us. Trust that you have enough Trust in the bed that is there for you to sleep in at night, to rest, to meet the dark with quiet resolve as you surrender undone tasks and energies and worries, and to greet a new morning with gratefulness and with hope and the opportunity of a new beginning. Trust that, with each breath you take, unconsciously and restfully, that this may be so, and trust in the morning and its arrival, the sun, the dew, the clouds, the rain and the light that might greet you on a new day again and again. And trust in the friends that care for you, that care about you, that have your back in the darkest of your days. Trust that they might be at the very minute moment of darkest dark in your heart. Trust that they may be even the dimmest of light to help see you through a troubling, painful cavern of hurt, to listen, to pick up your pieces and your brokenness, to be honest, to be non-judgmental, to simply be there, to offer a shoulder, to cry on an ear, to listen a hand, to gently hold a heart, to share a story or a voice to soothe, and trust in yourself that you would be there for them.
Speaker 2:Trust in the life we have been given, trust that we have enough.
Speaker 2:Trust that we can give, often more than we receive, because it may indeed be so that in the giving we actually do receive so much more Trust in this Trust, the faith that you have for this life you are living, the faith and the belief and the love and affection that you have for others and, most importantly, the faith and love and affection and belief that you have in yourself.
Speaker 2:Trust in the very next breath you take, and the next, and the next and the next, and, when there are no more breaths to be taken, trust that all is well and trust that the life you led, in gifts, small and large, in giving and in taking, in the work you did, in the love you expressed, in the mistakes that you made, in the lessons learned, in the smiles that you created, in the care that you offered, in the hands that you held softly and in the ways that you listened and comforted, will all be remembered, will all be cherished and will be continued to be nourished and spread by others, like the leaves falling off into the clay of this earth, finding new life and springing forth again from the branches, the twigs, the trunks and the roots along their riverbeds, atop the mountains, nestled deep in the valleys, cradling the streams, and in the hearts of others, of loved ones and all those dear to you Trust this to be.
